The Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy (BSMTh) is a 4.5-year program accredited by the American Music Therapy Association. This degree equips students with musical, clinical, and therapeutic competencies for entry-level practice across diverse healthcare settings. The curriculum combines core music education (theory, ear training, and history) with instrumental training (piano, voice, guitar, percussion), improvisation, music technology, psychology, and specialized music therapy courses. Requiring 120 credit hours, the program concludes with a half-year clinical internship following eight semesters of academic study and hands-on training. Graduates who complete both coursework and internship qualify to sit for the Music Therapy Board Certification Exam, earning the MT-BC professional designation upon passing.
