The Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience is an academic program provided by Purdue University through its Neuroscience Program.
Neuroscience represents a fast-evolving discipline that examines the organization and operations of the nervous system, especially exploring the connection between brain function and behavior. Our curriculum delivers an interdisciplinary approach rooted in biology, psychology, physics, chemistry, computer science, and mathematics, all centered on the nervous system. Students can specialize in cellular/molecular, computational, or behavioral neuroscience. IUPUI provides an unparalleled cross-disciplinary research and educational setting unmatched by other institutions.
Starting in their first year, undergraduate students are motivated to engage in research alongside distinguished faculty members. Our collaborations with the School of Medicine and central Indiana's life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors give students exceptional opportunities to make meaningful contributions in this field.
Every neuroscience student undertakes a culminating senior research project. This capstone represents an original, integrative endeavor that synthesizes the student's accumulated knowledge in the major. Options include research projects, independent studies, practicums, seminars, or field experiences.
Students must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school before you enroll at IUPUI.
