At the IU School of Liberal Arts, you'll discover the power of narrative and the principles of fair, responsible journalism and public relations. Situated in downtown Indianapolis, our program offers hands-on experiences on prominent platforms. While pursuing your Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (B.A.J), you'll team up with classmates on portfolio-enhancing projects in relevant courses, and contribute to campus life through student media initiatives. Graduates now at prestigious organizations like The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and Eli Lilly and Company frequently return as guest speakers and help facilitate internship and career opportunities. In today's climate of health emergencies and challenges to factual reporting, skilled, principled storytellers are increasingly vital. IUPUI teaches you to craft impartial, well-researched news that shapes perspectives, while ethical PR strategies foster conversations that strengthen communities and support integrity in journalism.
Students must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school before you enroll at IUPUI.
