The French program enables students to build relevant language skills in French, introduces them to francophone literature and culture, and provides critical thinking development through literary and cultural studies, preparing them for careers in education, research, business, translation, and beyond. Spoken as a primary or secondary language in over 40 nations, French is used by approximately 125 million people globally. It serves as an official language of the European Union, the planet's second-biggest economic alliance. Additionally, France boasts the world's fourth-largest economy.
Students must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school before you enroll at IUPUI.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS
Students scoring TOEFL 60+ or IELTS 5.5+ are eligible for admission but should anticipate taking additional English for Academic Purposes courses along with their academic program.
