The Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education program embodies the essence of a comprehensive academic curriculum—combining scholarly rigor with rich geographic, cultural, and ethnic diversity. Approximately 90% of enrolled students balance coursework with practical assistantships, merging academic success with hands-on experience to equip them for both entry-level and mid-career positions, tailored to their prior background. Each incoming SAHE cohort features graduates from institutions of all sizes—private and public—representing every region of the nation. Some pursue graduate studies after gaining professional experience, while others transition directly from undergraduate programs. Students join a fall cohort, starting coursework in either summer or fall, fostering connections with peers who share their aspirations and will form lasting professional relationships. Following a structured course sequence together, cohorts explore the evolution of their field while developing proven strategies for engaging with diverse campus communities.
