Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control. These are the critical skills you will need in your primary job focus: the prevention of harm to people, property, and the environment.
You also need to be ready for the competitive marketplace because more and more people are pursuing careers in the safety sciences.
You will be challenged, and the faculty will closely watch your progress. You will have a solid foundation in the natural sciences, math, and business. You will gain real world experience both in laboratories and during your internship. You will determine which industries most interest you, and sign up for work experiences through our cooperative education program during the summers of your sophomore and junior years. You will be ready and noticed.
