Doctoral candidates at The University Graduate School must fulfill 90 credit hours, with around 50% dedicated to structured coursework. Beyond the mandatory courses for the Ph.D. program, participation in a minimum of one workshop is essential. The department actively supports graduate students in presenting at workshops and academic conferences, as well as publishing their findings. Teaching opportunities include specialized pedagogy courses in economics, assisting with larger undergraduate classes, and leading smaller independent courses.
