For eight decades, graduates from the Jacobs Organ Department have consistently ranked among the world's most distinguished performers, educators, researchers, and liturgical musicians. We foster an environment where students can push boundaries while deepening their expertise through mentorship from faculty renowned in performance, research, teaching, and sacred music. Our comprehensive program combines rigorous performance training with specialized studies in improvisation, organ repertoire, instrument design and construction, teaching methods, and sacred music's practical, historical, and philosophical aspects. Many students pursue complementary studies in carillon, harpsichord, piano, choral conducting, or voice, with all benefiting from access to outstanding mechanical-action pipe organs for practice and performance.
