In recent decades, the growing worth of intangible assets has elevated intellectual property's role, making it crucial not just for the U.S. and global economies but also in cultural conversations and daily experiences. The Center for Intellectual Property Research aims to advance scholarship across all areas of intellectual property law and connected disciplines, encompassing patents, trademarks, unfair competition, copyrights, and information governance. As technology emerges as the driving factor in worldwide commerce, legal professionals must grasp its interplay with legislation—nowhere is this connection more evident than in intellectual property law. To facilitate this understanding, the Center fosters discussions about IP law among academics, judiciary members, policymakers, legal practitioners, and students.
