The Bachelor of Science in International Studies equips students with an understanding of global affairs through humanities and social sciences perspectives, while placing stronger focus on quantitative analysis. Learners will participate in discussions about worldwide citizenship and assess how historical factors shape contemporary political, economic, cultural, health, and environmental policies. Through rigorous foreign language requirements and compulsory international experiences, this program develops essential skills for thriving in global settings. Majors begin with two foundation courses selected from these focus areas: global health and environment, international development, human rights and law, cross-cultural communication and arts, identity and conflict resolution, or diplomacy, security, and governance. Advanced 300- and 400-level coursework then deepens expertise in their selected specialization. Additionally, students must select a geographic concentration in consultation with their faculty advisor.
