Earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) equips you to examine ecological systems and develop solutions for critical environmental challenges. This interdisciplinary program, jointly offered by the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the College of Arts and Sciences, features instruction from more than 40 IU faculty members covering diverse environmental subjects. The curriculum integrates foundational scientific disciplines including biology, chemistry, geology, hydrology, mathematics, meteorology, and physics, with hands-on learning through field studies and lab work. The program emphasizes understanding the connections between scientific research, policy development, and resource management. Graduates pursue careers with environmental consulting firms, government agencies at all levels, and nonprofit conservation organizations.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
