In today's globally connected society, learning foreign languages has become essential. The assumption that English alone will fulfill all communication requirements is no longer valid for Americans. Future generations will likely engage with individuals across all continents in both personal and professional contexts. Those equipped to converse in others' native tongues will gain significant advantages over monolingual peers. As a world languages education major, you'll master effective techniques for teaching languages to K-12 students. You'll gain insights into language acquisition processes and develop awareness of multilingualism's cultural, social, and political implications. The program concludes with hands-on student teaching, allowing you to apply your knowledge practically and enhance your instructional approaches. Depending on enrollment status, you might begin practical field experiences as soon as your second semester through our early immersion initiative.
