An arts education shapes students into thoughtful interpreters of their surroundings. As learners create visual works, they uncover hidden aspects of their identity and creativity. Our art education program equips you to instruct diverse age groups, spanning from young children to high school seniors. The curriculum fosters teaching skills across multiple artistic disciplines, including traditional painting and digital media. You'll gain comprehensive knowledge in educational principles, teaching methods, and subject-specific content. Practical teaching opportunities await at Saturday Art School, serving elementary-aged children in our community. The program peaks with an immersive student teaching semester, allowing you to apply and adjust your instructional approaches in authentic classroom settings. Depending on your enrollment status, you could begin supplementary field placements as soon as your second term through our early field exposure initiative.
