The Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Design offers an interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to investigate connections across diverse creative fields such as product design, furnishings, interior spaces, buildings, civic installations, and urban planning. This program centers on design thinking—a core methodology for tackling societal issues and user needs through creative problem-solving. Unlike specialized degree paths, Comprehensive Design promotes a holistic view of the design workflow, preparing graduates to bridge disciplinary divides and work effectively with diverse teams. Learners build expertise in identifying design challenges, analyzing historical influences, brainstorming multiple approaches, developing prototypes, and executing optimal solutions. Through hands-on projects, they sharpen their inquisitiveness, human-centered perspective, and analytical abilities while exploring innovative technological applications. The curriculum prioritizes iterative development and rigorous solution testing, with a strong focus on the creative journey rather than just the final outcome.
