The Bachelor of Science in cognitive science emphasizes practical, experiential learning where students engage with real-world examples through classroom activities and laboratory work, participating in research from the start of their academic journey. The Cognitive Science Program is designed to equip students with core competencies valuable across diverse information-focused professions, including psychology, neuroscience, AI, media, data processing, healthcare analytics, information organization, education, scientific inquiry, human-computer interaction, digital media, knowledge systems, and information governance. These skills also prove beneficial for technical writing, mathematical modeling, experimental methods, and software development. Cognitive science investigates intelligent systems by examining theories of cognition and information processing, aiming to enhance our comprehension of thought processes, educational methods, mental abilities, and the creation of smart technologies that enhance human potential. As an inherently multidisciplinary field, cognitive science encompasses the study of both biological intelligence (in humans and animals) and machine intelligence.
