The Bachelor of Science in Astronomy explores the cosmos in its entirety: past, present, and future. The curriculum encompasses various celestial phenomena, including our solar system (the sun, planets, asteroids, and comets), stellar evolution, the Milky Way galaxy, extragalactic systems, galaxy clusters, and the cosmic distribution of both visible and dark matter. Astronomy students grapple with profound questions about the universe's nature and humanity's role within it, utilizing telescopes at campus observatories. This program equips graduates for advanced studies and professional paths in astronomy and astrophysics, along with opportunities in technical sectors such as: academic or national laboratory research, collegiate or secondary education, planetarium and science museum roles, NASA contractor technical support, science communication, aerospace, defense, surveillance, environmental industries, and military applications.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
