The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology introduces students to fundamental concepts, research techniques, and key discoveries in the field of sociology, which scientifically examines society and human interactions within systems of social relationships, organizations, and institutions. This program explores the patterns, disruptions, and transformations in social life and their impact on individuals. The Sociology Department offers concentrations in areas like social psychology, deviant behavior, social stratification, healthcare sociology, along with studies of family structures, educational systems, gender dynamics, racial and ethnic communities, and class systems. The curriculum accommodates both students seeking broad knowledge and those pursuing specialized sociological interests. This degree prepares graduates for diverse career paths including legal professions, social services management, corporate sectors, as well as advanced studies for careers in governmental research, business analytics, community organizations, or academic institutions.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
