The Department of Economics ranks among the top economics programs nationwide. As an Economics major, you'll collaborate with professors specializing in economic analysis and policy. The program mandates eight foundational courses covering mathematical modeling, microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, economic statistics, and econometrics. Additionally, you'll complete at least four elective courses to tailor your studies to your professional goals. These electives explore diverse topics including monetary systems, government economic involvement, labor market dynamics, international trade, development challenges, and financial markets. You'll also acquire quantitative skills for measuring economic data, interpreting large datasets, and evaluating strategic economic interactions. In essence, the program equips you with essential competencies to thrive in our modern knowledge-driven economy.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
