The graduate Drawing program offers in-depth exploration of both conventional and innovative drawing techniques. Instructors bring varied artistic perspectives and technical expertise to the program. Students have access to dedicated upper-level drawing spaces and individual or shared graduate studios, totaling more than 2,200 square feet in Fairbanks Hall. While recognizing drawing's core as mark-making on paper, the program equally supports experimental approaches incorporating performance, installation, and multimedia. The curriculum fosters drawing as both a preparatory tool and a standalone artistic practice for developing meaningful personal expression.
