The ISU Department of Communication provides an engaging master's program that attracts ambitious students. Our alumni network includes prominent professionals, academics, and administrators worldwide. Students can pursue advanced studies in various fields such as Communication and Culture, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, and other departmental specialties. While the standard M.A. program spans two years, students may opt for an accelerated track with faculty advising. Our intimate cohort model ensures individualized mentorship, including direct faculty collaboration. We're pleased to share upcoming curriculum enhancements for our M.A. in Communication program, effective Fall 2020. These improvements, currently undergoing university review, will introduce four new specialization tracks: Digital Media, Leadership, Public Advocacy, and Health Communication, ensuring our program remains responsive to student needs and industry demands.
