Indiana State's Educational Specialist (EdS) program in School Psychology provides a learner-focused, well-rounded curriculum. Along with classroom instruction, you'll participate in hands-on fieldwork starting from your very first semester. This integration of theory and practice equips you with essential knowledge, analytical abilities, and solution-oriented competencies required for professional licensure as a school psychologist. The 63-credit program offers flexible completion options, with full-time students typically finishing in 3 years and part-time students in 4 years.
Important: The EdS represents an advanced professional qualification that builds upon master's-level studies. Program participants will first obtain a Master of Education (MEd) in School Psychology before completing the EdS requirements. Applicants holding a relevant master's degree may qualify to pursue the EdS without earning the additional MEd credential.
