In line with Illinois Institute of Technology's commitment to delivering a unique and practical education that equips students for careers addressing critical global challenges, the Department of Biomedical Engineering introduces its new Master of Science in Biomedical Data Science and Modeling program. This curriculum delivers essential training for computational biomedical engineering careers, with strong focus areas including mathematical modeling principles, machine learning techniques, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. Students will develop skills to recognize mathematical modeling challenges, perform statistical evaluations of biomedical datasets, apply machine-learning approaches to biomedical scenarios, and tackle bioinformatics-related biomedical engineering issues. Supporting Illinois Tech's institutional research priorities—Computation and Data, along with Health and Wellness—this program equips graduates with foundational expertise and practical skills to excel in the rapidly advancing biomedical engineering sector.
