The J.D. Certificate Program in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution focuses on linking legal principles, practical skills, and professional ethics with the practice of law. The program cultivates thoughtful legal professionals committed to excellence, ethical standards, and community engagement.
Students gain hands-on experience through our in-house legal clinic, handling cases involving civil rights, employment discrimination, criminal defense, immigration, family law, healthcare/disability issues, or tax matters. After obtaining mediation certification, they facilitate actual mediations across diverse legal fields.
Both full-time and part-time students can apply during their first-year spring semester at Chicago-Kent.
