The civil engineering master's program offers in-depth theoretical and practical training in structural analysis, mechanics, finite element techniques, geotechnical studies, and water resource management. This curriculum equips students for leadership roles in civil engineering across industrial, research, and development sectors. It also establishes a strong foundation for pursuing doctoral studies in civil engineering-related disciplines. Available at both Pocatello and Idaho Falls campuses, the program utilizes distance learning technologies with some in-person components. Graduates will deepen their expertise in advanced civil engineering principles including structural systems, mechanical analysis, computational methods, geotechnical engineering, and hydrology. The program develops graduates' capacity to integrate and implement these advanced principles for practical engineering solutions, ethical problem-solving, and safe project execution. Students will also refine their skills in presenting and documenting technical concepts through various communication methods.
