The Master of Arts in Mathematics for Secondary Teachers (MAMST) program caters to individuals holding a bachelor's degree and a secondary mathematics teaching certification, with a minimum of three years' full-time teaching experience. This program aims to strengthen educators' mathematical expertise while providing them with comprehensive, contemporary mathematical knowledge. Requirements include:
A bachelor's degree and secondary teaching certification in Mathematics.
An approved course of study by both the Mathematics and Statistics Department's Graduate Committee and the Graduate School Dean.
Completion of at least 30 graduate-level credits (courses numbered 5500 or higher) beyond the bachelor's degree.
Submission and approval of semester papers as determined by the Mathematics and Statistics Graduate Committee.
Successful completion of comprehensive written and oral examinations covering the student's coursework.
