The Mathematics Bachelor of Science program equips students for careers in industry, advanced academic studies, or teaching. The curriculum offers adaptable course options, making early collaboration with a mathematics department advisor essential. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics boasts a skilled, research-driven faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and community engagement. We strive to deliver top-tier education in pure and applied mathematics as well as statistics, while actively contributing to our university, local community, and professional field.
Our department plays a key role in the Early College Program, enabling high school students to take college-level math courses and earn credits before university enrollment. We offer mathematics classes that fulfill general education needs for all ISU students, along with specialized courses tailored for those studying education, physics, engineering, healthcare fields, computer science, life sciences, and business.
