Bachelor's Degree
The art program's main objective is to cultivate technical skills while fostering an understanding of modern artistic contexts and professional visual arts practices. Students pursuing an art major can obtain either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with the B.F.A. being particularly advised for those aiming for graduate studies or professional studio art careers. The curriculum encompasses various disciplines including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, metalwork and jewelry, digital arts, mixed media, and ceramics. Supplementary options include papermaking and specialized course offerings. The program also provides an Art History and Studio minor for non-art majors.
