The Visual Communication program offers two specialized paths: Graphic Design or Photo-Video, equipping students with essential expertise for diverse careers such as: Advertising/Commercial Photographer, Graphic Designer, Videographer, Multimedia Journalist, Creative Director, Magazine/Documentary Photographer, Web/UX Designer, Studio Manager, Illustrator, Photo Editor, Technical Director, Video Producer & Director, Announcer, and Environmental Graphic Designer. Graphic designers, as visual problem-solvers, develop strategic visual solutions for public communication challenges across print, digital, electronic, and film media. Given the expansive nature of graphic design, our curriculum covers typography, color theory, photography, illustration, animation, and other key disciplines. Professionals who combine design skills with cultural awareness, current events knowledge, liberal arts background, and business acumen will achieve the greatest career advancement. Our department provides numerous opportunities for students to enhance their competencies in these critical areas.
