The Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) in Energy Systems program equips students for careers involving the setup, functioning, calibration, regular upkeep, examination, testing, and restoration of power generation machinery. Graduates find employment across various electrical generation sectors with firms that design, construct, manage, and service electrical generation setups. These systems utilize fossil and nuclear fuels, hydropower, wind energy, and other sources to generate electricity. Electrical Engineering technicians handle generators, large electric motors, protective relays, and other high-voltage, high-current electrical gear, along with interconnection wiring, control circuits, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
