The Computerized Machining Technology program is offered through Idaho State University's College of Technology. This initiative collaborates with Idaho Career & Technical Education and has received approval from the State Board of Education. Participants will acquire expertise while mastering professional skills in these key areas: Operating manual lathes and milling equipment, Programming and running CNC machines, Applying CAD/CAM systems, and Working with advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment. Upon completing the program, graduates will demonstrate these competencies: Proficiency in operating engine lathes and milling machines while adhering to industrial safety standards. Skill in interpreting technical drawings to create precision components and assemblies. Competence in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes for part production. Aptitude for applying mathematical concepts relevant to machining applications.
