Idaho State University's Accelerated Nursing bachelor's program is designed for career changers who already hold a degree in another field. This intensive program lets students complete their nursing degree in just three semesters, enabling them to join the workforce within a year of starting (certain prerequisites apply). Through diverse classroom instruction and clinical experiences, the program prepares graduates to pass the NCLEX-RN exam and become licensed nurses. Applications are accepted annually during the Fall semester with deadlines in early Spring. Each summer, the program enrolls approximately 50 students at the Meridian location and 20 at the Pocatello campus, with classes typically beginning in mid-May.
