Howard's Graduate School offers a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering tailored for students pursuing diverse specializations within the field. Participants conduct groundbreaking research addressing practical engineering challenges. We encourage applications from individuals with academic foundations in mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, or related physical sciences. This doctoral program equips graduates for successful careers in R&D, academia, or industrial sectors, following in the footsteps of our accomplished alumni. Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidates can specialize in four key areas: aerospace dynamics and controls, thermal-fluid sciences, applied mechanics, or design and manufacturing.
