The Post-Baccalaureate Computer Science Applications Certificate serves as a bridge program, equipping students holding a bachelor's or advanced degree with fundamental computer science skills. Participants will master programming concepts, discrete mathematics, data organization, and algorithm evaluation - crucial foundations for pursuing graduate studies in computer science, data analytics, and information security. Through practical projects using C and Java, students will explore diverse fields like visual computing, machine intelligence, and network structures while learning to optimize algorithms for performance and resource usage. No previous coding experience is necessary. Upon finishing the curriculum, graduates receive a certificate, and those achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher gain guaranteed entry into Hofstra University's Master's programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science.
