The Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Public Service (PPPS) prepares students to tackle the complex issues encountered by decision-makers, local communities, government bodies, non-profits, advocates, and other key players in modern society. Designed for those pursuing careers in civic engagement, this program combines theoretical foundations with practical approaches to both governmental and non-governmental policy and service, while facilitating hands-on experiences through collaborations with policymakers, research institutions, non-profits, worker organizations, grassroots leaders, and advocacy networks. What sets this degree apart is its integration of policy concepts with service-oriented practices across local, national, and international contexts. Learners can enroll in diverse courses and receive guidance from experts specializing in political science, civic participation, community leadership, equity studies, environmental stewardship, spatial analysis, urban design, quantitative methods, financial systems, growth strategies, international relations, intercultural studies, and moral philosophy. The program fosters cross-disciplinary learning by allowing students to tailor their education through elective choices, developed in partnership with their policy advisor and academic leadership.
