Students need to fulfill 145 semester hours in total: at least 115 hours for their bachelor's degree and 30 hours of graduate coursework for the MS in finance. A sample curriculum for this combined program can be obtained from either the Mathematics Department or the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.
Those accepted into this dual-degree program will earn a BA in mathematics after meeting these criteria:
All BA requirements outlined in the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences section of this Bulletin. This includes completing 124 semester hours total, with a minimum of 115 undergraduate hours and a maximum of 9 graduate hours from the MS in finance program.
The specific mathematics major requirements detailed in the BA Major in Mathematics section (where MATH 137 counts for 3 of the required 12 advanced undergraduate hours above 100, and MATH 138 fulfills the 138/146/172/173 requirement)
