Computed tomography (CT) employs advanced X-ray technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of internal body structures, helping identify abnormalities and disease progression. This certification program prepares you to operate CT scanners, assisting doctors with accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies.
Admission requires current ARRT certification in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology (or equivalent NMTCB credentials). Upon completion, graduates can sit for the ARRT's post-primary CT certification exam. Earning this certification enables you to pursue Florida state licensure, authorizing operation of all CT diagnostic imaging systems.

Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for admission to an associate degree program at HCC, applicants must submit documentation that they have the equivalent of one of the following:
high school equivalency certificate (GED)
Associate or higher degree
standard high school diploma

Official High School or GED and ALL post-secondary transcripts are required. HCC transcript is not required.
Minimum 2.0 overall GPA.
