HPU Engineering graduates possess the capability to utilize their knowledge across Engineering, Mathematics, and Science disciplines, delivering inventive methods to address real-world problems. They will devise original, imaginative solutions to fulfill specific requirements under practical limitations, including economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability factors, while collaborating both independently and in interdisciplinary groups. Students will acquire the skills to employ techniques, abilities, and up-to-date engineering tools to tackle modern issues for societal advancement. HPU Engineering graduates enjoy strong employment prospects in Hawaii, across the nation, and internationally. Engineering stands out as the STEM field with the highest median income potential and consistently demonstrates growing job opportunities, remaining robust during economic downturns.
Every HPU Engineering student will gain practical experience by applying engineering principles in various labs and project-based courses across all three programs, with an additional research thesis option available for Electrical Engineering. As part of their degree requirements, each student must complete twelve weeks of professional industry work. Furthermore, students can engage in robotics initiatives through the Robotics for Good Club, which features teams focused on Air, Land, Water, and Outreach projects. During their final year, students also have the choice to spend their fall semester studying abroad.
Students are preferred to have a high school and should include grades/scores for each subject.
