The Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs offers an interdisciplinary marine science education, emphasizing core marine science principles, evolving ecosystem dynamics, sustainable ocean resource management, and issues of social and environmental equity. Graduates emerge as skilled advocates capable of bridging the gap between marine conservation challenges and societal solutions through education, communication, and mediation. This major equips students for impactful careers in ocean advocacy or advanced studies in scientific, administrative, policy, management, or legal fields. Learners can tailor their professional trajectory by choosing complementary minors in business, criminal justice, management, public administration, strategic communication, or sustainability. The curriculum includes mandatory research practicums or internships aligned with each student's specialization goals.
