The Master in Public Policy (MPP) program equips you with a comprehensive skill set for a rewarding career in public service through its carefully structured curriculum. In your initial year, you'll build essential professional skills across key areas: Economics, Ethics, Leadership, Negotiation, Political Science, Policy Development and Implementation, and Data Analysis. The first-year experience concludes with the Spring Exercise, an intensive two-week simulation where you'll synthesize and apply knowledge gained from core courses. Typically, students complete a policy-focused internship during the summer following their first year. The program culminates in the second year with the Policy Analysis Exercise, a practical thesis project. Our academic setting provides valuable opportunities to explore diverse policy interests, which we actively encourage. The 12-credit Business and Government Program (BGP) curriculum explores: The dynamic interactions between corporations and government entities, The mutual influence between public policy and business decisions, and The economic challenges of our interconnected global marketplace.
