Through the mathematics for teaching master's program, you will: Deepen your mathematical knowledge to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and develop problem-solving abilities in your students, both academically and in practical situations.
Gain specialized teaching knowledge to better engage and motivate students in mathematics within today's challenging educational and social contexts.
Build a thorough awareness of student learning processes in math, including how initial misunderstandings and developing mathematical reasoning can strengthen concept mastery.
Obtain essential educational tools and materials to thrive as a mathematics educator and meaningfully influence student learning outcomes.
Pursue optional certifications in learning design/technology or math leadership to expand your educational leadership capabilities in mathematics instruction.
Prior to enrolling in any degree-applicable courses, you must possess a 4-year regionally accredited US bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent. Foreign bachelor’s degrees must be evaluated for equivalency.
We require a current official transcript (i.e., a transcript issued directly from the school to our office) from each college or university from which you have earned a degree.
3.0 GPA- Earn the required cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 (equivalent to a grade of B) or higher from all Harvard courses.
