The Jewish History and Culture program explores Jewish heritage through historical and literary studies spanning from ancient times to the contemporary era. The curriculum is organized into five historical segments: Jewish biblical interpretation, ancient Jewish civilization, medieval Jewish society, modern Jewish experience, and contemporary Jewish literature. While students typically concentrate on specific eras, the program emphasizes comprehensive understanding across all periods. Alternatively, students can pursue thematic concentrations, such as the evolution of Jewish scriptural analysis. Proficiency in classical Hebrew is required for program admission.
