The Juris Doctor/Master of Public Health (JD/MPH) dual degree program is a collaborative initiative between Harvard Law School (HLS) and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. This program aims to foster interdisciplinary expertise for students pursuing careers in health law, public health policy, or similar disciplines by combining legal and public health education.
The Health Policy concentration equips students with tools for economic, legal, and political evaluation of healthcare and public health policies in high-income nations. Meanwhile, the Global Health track prepares experienced professionals for leadership positions in international health organizations at various governmental levels. Unlike standard MPH admissions, this joint program waives the typical JD prerequisite for public health studies. Graduates receive both JD and MPH degrees from their respective Harvard institutions upon fulfilling all requirements.
