This liberal arts graduate certificate provides insights into American literary forms and traditions within their political, cultural, and historical frameworks. You'll develop deeper appreciation for narrative arts—including poetry, literature, and film—by studying diverse authors, genres, and eras.
The program strengthens skills in narrative interpretation, critical thinking, and facilitating discussions about American literary and cultural works.
You'll broaden your understanding of the American experience through specialized topics like Emily Dickinson's poetry, 20th century American novels, and Civil War literature.
We require a current official transcript (i.e., a transcript issued directly from the school to our office) from each college or university from which you have earned a degree.
3.0 GPA- Earn the required cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 (equivalent to a grade of B) or higher from all Harvard courses.
