Anthropology equips students to tackle worldwide issues by examining society, culture, and civilization in context, opening doors to diverse career paths including global health, law, government, museums, education, arts, cultural and environmental management, business, entrepreneurship, and academia.
The field encourages profound examination of behaviors that may seem straightforward but hold hidden histories and complexities uncovered through meticulous study. That's why we conduct extensive fieldwork in native languages to grasp the full depth of social dynamics. Ultimately, questioning the familiar requires ethical and political reflection - rejecting the world as it appears. This may represent the core of anthropology, what a renowned anthropologist describes as its hopeful ethos: the belief in potential for positive change and that understanding our world should advance fairness and equity.
Individuals who have or will have by the time of matriculation a BA, BS, or equivalent undergraduate degree (for prospective international students, a three- or four-year undergraduate degree from an institution of recognized standing) and actively seeks applicants from groups historically underrepresented in graduate schools. Applicants must receive a minimum score of 80 for the TOEFL, and it is not common for applicants to be admitted with TOEFL scores below 90. The minimum IELTS Academic score is 6.5. Some programs may require higher scores. Application Deadline: Dec 15.
