The Associate in Science Transfer degree Track 1 for Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, and Earth Science includes foundational courses for first- and second-year students, designed for those aiming to transition into university-level science programs. This pathway provides a comprehensive foundation before students advance to specialized upper-level coursework. While it doesn't fulfill General Education/University (GER/GUR) requirements, it equips transfer students with junior standing in both credits and major-specific preparation at state universities. To graduate, students must complete 90 quarter credits (100-level or higher from approved courses) and fulfill distribution requirements. Pass/no credit courses may not exceed 25% of total credits, and Pass grades might not count toward major requirements. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and at least 24 credits completed at Green River College are mandatory.
