Governors State's ACS-approved Bachelor of Science in Chemistry provides students with essential understanding across analytical, biochemical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. With growing emphasis on energy, transportation, and technology sectors, the need for chemists and materials specialists is projected to increase by 7% in the coming ten years (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
Applicants must:
have earned an Official high school diploma (or equivalent) or GED
Must have a minimum of 2.0 unweighted high school GPA on a 4.0 scale
Earned fewer than 24 semester hours of college credit to start GSU as a freshman
International students should have TOEFL score 500 on paper based with 53 on reading, 54 on writing, 53 on Listening, 173 on computer based with 20 on reading, 21 on writing, 19 on Listening and IBT score of 68 with 19 on reading, 16 on writing, 18 on Listening and 15 on speaking.
