We cultivate a principled dedication to challenging sexism, heterosexism, and various interconnected forms of oppression including racism and classism. Our educators inspire students to envision a fairer society while providing them with practical skills to create meaningful change. As an interdisciplinary initiative, we utilize feminist frameworks and approaches to deepen awareness of how gender intersects with race, ethnicity, sexuality, class, and other social identities. By centering gender as a key lens, we critically analyze structures of power, inequity, and discrimination that influence individual and collective experiences across local, national, and global contexts. The curriculum features both specialized and collaborative courses led by faculty whose expertise spans diverse fields - from sociology and religious studies to literature, history, political science, and biology.
