Gonzaga University's Theatre Program empowers students to achieve their aspirations through comprehensive training and hands-on production opportunities in performance, technical theatre, and design. The curriculum features a theatre arts major encompassing diverse disciplines: acting, directing, theatre history, technical production, stagecraft, costume creation, and scenic, lighting, and costume design. Students cultivate professional expertise and leadership abilities through rigorous coursework, collaborative projects, live performances, and regular engagement with visiting professionals such as working actors, movement coaches, designers, and casting directors. The program actively participates in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and facilitates internship placements with theatre and film organizations. Faculty and students collaborate to produce varied theatrical works, maintaining high artistic standards. Rooted in Jesuit principles, the program emphasizes social justice and ethical engagement with the arts.
As an applicant for admission, you are expected to graduate from an accredited high school with a college preparatory curriculum.
