The Italian Studies program offers an interdisciplinary approach to developing knowledge of Italian culture and language proficiency. The Program Director collaborates with an advisory committee composed of department chairs or representatives from disciplines providing upper-level electives for Italian Studies. This committee convenes at the discretion of the Italian Studies Director. To earn a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies, students must complete a semester in the Gonzaga-in-Florence program (or equivalent Italian immersion) and a senior thesis. All majors must enroll in an upper-division Italian course during their final year, irrespective of credit requirements.
As an applicant for admission, you are expected to graduate from an accredited high school with a college preparatory curriculum.
