The Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer Degree equips students with fundamental mathematical knowledge, abilities, and practical uses to achieve junior-level standing in mathematics at most four-year institutions. This curriculum fulfills the lower-division math prerequisites at any California State University (CSU). Earning this transfer degree in Mathematics ensures admission to the California State University system. Program Learning Outcomes: After completing this program, graduates will demonstrate the ability to: apply derivatives, integrals, differential equations, and linear algebra to solve mathematical and scientific problems; compute limits, derivatives, and integrals; solve basic and second-order differential equations; and critically examine theorems in Linear Algebra through analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
This program is designed for students passionate about mathematical theory who plan to transfer to a four-year university to pursue majors in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
